Kindled Inspiration

Intimacy seems to be reserved for lovers and partners in today’s world but the intimacy of friendship should not be underestimated. I believe two people can be intellectually and emotionally intimate in completely platonic ways which strengthen their friendship and thus build almost unearthly bonds.

Please.

Inspire me.

Send me your deepest desires, your haunted thoughts, let them flow through your soul and fill my heart.

Share your sorrows, fears, hatreds, and regrets with me so their burdens may be lessened and more room for light is made.

I’ll use them as kindling to keep the fires of passion and life burning boldly. I’ll put them to use and work them to dust.

They’ll light the way to brighter times.

I want to know it all. I want to know your favorite quotes that act as music to your soul, to hear the words that reverberate through your thoughts in the dead of night, to see the universe through your eyes for even just a minute.

To witness a beauty that I can never imagine on my own.

In turn, I’ll do the same for you. My tears, my laughter, my unending admiration and respect will all scatter freely. Sprinkling our words with glistening friendship and our bond with steel.

Let me inspire you.

  1. What a touching post! I can completely relate to this.. I am not a “talk about the weather” kind of girl..I love intimate talks about real life! Intimacy is hard for a lot of people(my husband is one of them)… but it’s the only way I can function. 💕💗💕

  2. I love this post. I crave intimacy in all its forms. I have little of it in my life. My husband is just not that kind of guy… and I don’t really have friends. This may be why I expose so much of myself here… needing a place to talk out the deep stuff… looking for a connection.
