Well hello everyone!
I appreciate you all being patient with my extended hiatus as I finish this final 46 day stretch in my journey to earn a college degree! I know I’ve been gone a long while but my permanent return is imminent and impending!
I managed to snag a little spare time and felt like what better way to spend it than doing a little writing?!
I mean it’s a stress reducer, it’s cathartic, and it’s more productive than my Magic the Gathering app (though I do love the strategic but mindless game play, no lies there!).
To no one’s surprise I’ve been pretty stressed lately. I mean who wouldn’t be trying to juggle a full time job, parenthood, wedding planning, and finishing college? If you’re one of those people, for the love of mental health share your secrets!!
It’s been so long I can barely wrap my mind about what to write. I want to write for me today, to feel less stressed, to feel inspired, and to feel a release of emotions that have been building up. How though?!
It is surprisingly difficult to get the words flowing after holding them in for so long. It’s been a crazy quarter and lots has happened since my last post way back when.
What better way to dip my toes back in the writing pool than some gratitude?
There’s so much beauty in every day even in little things we sometimes overthink or overlook.
Interesting socks and leggings! The day isn’t quite right if I don’t have on a pair of colorful, Fandom related, or interesting socks/leggings. It’s a fun way to keep some whimsy on me all the time without being distracting! I’ve been known to even wear these under work pants in the cold months!
Coffee cups with cute or funny sayings on them. Coffee is pretty much my lifeline and the cup I choose for the day can be a great way to get a laugh or smile out before the coffee is even ready!
Fortune cookies! They’re fun, silly, and sometimes all too true. I’m glad they exist!
Those sugar cookies with fun designs on them. My personal favorite are the Halloween kind with purple ghosts on them! I’d love to learn how to make them from scratch someday but until then I’ll happily spend $3 for some yummy ghosts!
Fantasies. Whether it’s in books, movies, video games, comics, or some other medium I’m not remembering having a fantasy world to ponder and admire keeps me afloat when the real world gets too real. A short dive into the fantasy world relaxed and reinvigorates me every time.
There is always something to be grateful for even when it feels like the world isn’t so sublime.
I’d love to see and hear what you all are grateful for today and how you’ve all been! I miss each one of you I have had the pleasure of talking to and can’t wait to meet my new readers too!
You have my sincere promise I’ll be back regularly end of September but until then I’ll be extremely sporadic at best. ❤️❤️
Have a Whimsical Wednesday!
